About the Adventure

Interested in wildlife? Somewhat new to Algonquin Park?

Then this is the adventure for you!


Join me for an afternoon of wildlife photography in Algonquin Park! Bring your phone, your point & shoot, your "good camera" - whatever you have. We will visit 2-3 easily accessible spots in the park in search of birds and mammals.


All skill levels, ages & learning styles welcome!


This adventure is designed to introduce you to wildlife photography & (hopefully!) some of the park's famous residents.


Things we'll learn about:

  • Ethics - photographing wildlife involves respecting our subjects & the environment they live in

  • Tracking - how to find wildlife & signs to look for

  • Settings - camera settings for wildlife photography for those with DSLR & mirrorless cameras

  • Composition - how to create compelling compositions


When:

XX from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.


Where:

Algonquin Provincial Park

We'll meet at the park's Visitor's Centre


Cost:

$175 +hst

Payment is due in full at the time of registering and is non-refundable.


Number of Guests:

Minimum of 4 to a maximum of 10


 

What is Required?

  • A camera of any sort - your phone, a point & shoot, an SLR/DSLR/mirrorless body with lens

  • Pre-registration & full payment

  • An Ontario Parks day use vehicle permit (not included in the adventure fee) OR an Algonquin Park camping permit. Purchase your pass online at: https://reservations.ontarioparks.ca/ Select Day Use > Daily Vehicle Permit (DVP) > Algonquin - Hwy 60 Corridor then follow the instructions. You can only purchase your permit within 5 days of your visit (5 days or fewer prior). You will need to register your license plate number.

  • Comfortable shoes you can walk in & appropriate seasonal attire

 

Please note that while we will make every effort to find wildlife to photograph, there are many factors outside of our control, therefore, there are no wildlife guarantees.
