It's important to note that everyone defines workshops and tours differently. To me, workshops should include an educational component. Whether that's informally in the field, or during designated in-class time. You should feel comfortable asking me questions because I'm there to help you. Tours are when someone takes you to a designated place at a designated time. But I don't really offer "tours"... anyone can offer those! I offer adventures. What's the difference? The experience! My itineraries are loose and based on extensive location scouting and knowledge of the areas we go. They're flexible to allow us to switch things up and check out the best opportunities based on the current conditions, such as weather and wildlife activity.

No matter which option you choose, I strive to provide a fun and comfortable experience where you don't feel shy asking questions, and don't need a dictionary to understand what I'm saying. If you don't find what you're looking for, please contact me and I'd be happy to customize a program to suit your needs!

Photography Lessons

Receive individual instruction in an area where you feel you need to improve!

I offer one-on-one and small, private group lessons on a number of photography subjects, including: photography fundamentals, finding & photographing wildlife, landscape and waterfall photography, macro photography, post-processing/editing (Lightroom and Photoshop), and sports & action photography.

Photography Workshops & Adventures

I name the time and the place, and we meet as a small group of like-minded people, immersing ourselves in nature, learning photography hands-on, and enjoying laughs and adventures along the way. Workshops and adventures are suitable for all levels and will typically have a mix of levels participating. For novice photographers who feel they're not quite at the level of taking a workshop, please know that all truly are welcome! The whole point of a workshop is to learn. However, if you would like to maximize your time in the field, I recommend taking the in-class options in advance when offered, or consider taking a private lesson..

Guided Photography Adventures

I spend a great deal of time exploring and have found some sweet spots, as well as wildlife hotspots. Let me show you around some of my favourite natural places and spaces in Muskoka and Algonquin Provincial Park! This is a great opportunity to get out and practice what you already know - one-on-one, or as a small, private group. Some of these adventures look the same as my small group adventures. In fact, some are practically identical! What's different? You choose the time and you join me alone or with a small group of your friends. Adventures & guiding do not include any instruction or educational component. It's expected that you know how to capture the images you want using the gear you have. If you're the sort of individual who likes to ask questions and is interested in learning along the way, please consider booking a private lesson or workshop.
